It is heavy and sturdy. Firmly holds voluminous hair. Good for straight or curly hair.It's a very pretty design but the grip is not as strong as I was hoping it would be.Cute. Looks beautiful when using this hair clip for the half up, half down do. When using this to hold up my hair in a bun, it does not quite hold. My hair is thick and long to the butt in length. So, it works perfectly for me when I do the half up, half down style.These are so pretty and surprisingly sturdy. I thought they would be made from plastic, but they are actually metal with a strong spring. They're balanced perfectly and actually stay in my semi fine hair.These hair clips are strong and hold hair very tightly. Almost too tightly. They would be great for thinner hair. I have thick hair. The points on the claw are a little too pointy for sensitive scalps. They are pretty for those times that you do not just want to wear plastic clips. At around 16.00 per set, I am not sure if I would get these again.The hair clips look so beautiful. It should have been a perfect gift, but unfortunately, I received a broken box which made the whole product much less giftable. So I have to keep the hair clips for myself and buy another gift for my friend.I am an Octogenarian and trying to grow my grey curly hair long enough to wear back. These clips have a heart design and that's something that doesn't appeal to me since widowhood. I would like o see them on a younger person and thing they might be delighted with the sparkle.I have super long, fine, thin, slippery hair, and I typically need hair clips with very strong jaws to hold it securely. I've done better with metal claw clips than the plastic ones. These clips have very strong jaws, and they worked well in my hair. The teeth reach deeply into the base of my hair to hold without slipping.These are pretty, but not particularly magnificent as far as craftsmanship. The metal is a little grating when the clips are opened/shut, and the edges have somewhat visible seams. Nothing that anyone would see when they are in your hair. The pearls are a nice touch, but very inexpensive looking overall. The current price on these of $16 for two clips is higher than many of the other metal clips I've tried recently. They do come in a pretty box, so A+ for presentation.
