I use these types of caps regularly for highlighting my hair at home. I have bought a few rubber caps, like the ones hairdressers use, but I find them to be ineffective in that they are always far too big for my head and the holes split. These plastic caps are like rain hoods and you can tie them under your chin with straps. I used to buy my caps in a local shop for 99p, but they have stopped selling them. This pack is good value because you get six caps, the hooks, clips and other accessories to help you do your own highlights. It's a great kit! You have to put your the holes in the cap yourself so make sure you use something small and sharp as you don't want the holes to be too big. This seems time consuming at first, but the third time you highlight your own hair, you find you've become quick at doing it.
