It's a pretty good made with good materials. I bought this for my 8 years old daughter for her ballet bun. It keeps her bun in place. The only thing is that the plastic crystals are falling off one by one.My two year old and I both love these! They are fun and colorful! At first I was a little concerned with the color combos bc I didn't think they would match with anything but they really are great. I just worry about matching the top and they look so cute. (Sometime I worry too much) :) Also I should note what these feel like bc I didn't realize and I don't think you can tell from the picture. They are similar to those loops that you weave into potholders when you are a kid.. Kinda squishy? They don't feel like any hair tie I had felt before. I definitely like that because they are soft on my daughters fine hair and I don't have to pull her head to loop the hair tie around again, it has more give in it. I hope that makes sense. I highly recommend these. They are very sweet looking.These are very small. I wouldn't suggest them for thick ponytails; okay for half up dog's or thin hair ponytails. Super cute though! Probably more for younger girls (12 or younger) due to how little they are.My daughter has very fine hair but wants to wear her hair long. That really means she has to have it up somehow, or it will look scraggly. ALL the other brands and styles we've tried to hold her hair back have either been made for thicker hair, or have pulled her hair and gotten snarled. With these, the kid picks out the colours she wants in the morning and brings her hairbrush downstairs to me! I can't overstate the effect this simple product had on her mornings - and mine!The only thing I DON'T like about it is that every pony holder is different. I'm thinking if I want to be matchy-matchy some days, I'll have to pony up more money. (ha ha) :)I bought these to be stocking stuffers for my 4yo daughter. They are super cute and colorful. She LOVES them. The only issue I have is that they come with a pin on the back of each one, which, for little kids, is obviously a no-no.HipGirl did offer me a full refund as well as return shipping if I wanted to send them back and I really appreciate that so I am still giving this 5 stars. I just want to make sure that other people know there are pins on the back of the flowers so beware of that if giving these to a small child. I was able to remove the pins myself.The felt flower hair ties are very cute in my 5 year old's pigtails. I took off a star because of the fact that they came with pins in the back, which I didn't know about until they arrived. I'm not sure why they have them, as I wouldn't want to put a sharp pin anywhere near my scalp, much less my 5 year old's. I was, however, able to remove them with some effort. Overall, they're very cute hair ties.PerfectMy daughter dances all the time. These are beautiful and very helpful right after a haircut -much cuter than a hair net. Her hair is tight below the shoulders and it is very fine. Seems to be holding up well so far. On one of them, the elastic that is around the edge (like a pony tail hair tie) the end is sticking out. But overall great for the price.
