I have used these several times since purchasing them. Thinking about purchasing some for a Life Skills class for our sewing projects.Made hemming jeans quick and easy. The edges are a bit sharp I wouldn’t use these on delicate materials. I was going to use them on my daughter’s prom dress but they were not only sharp, but greasy. I wiped them all down with a with a white paper towel and the paper towel had a lot black grease on it. A couple of them had rust on them, so it makes me question if they are really stainless steel. I am thinking about painting them white so the numbers and lines are easier to read.These clips are very useful for the masks that I am making. It holds the pleats in place when I sew up the sides. The 1 drawback I have with these clips is that they are rough on the sides, the fabric tends to catch when I slide the clips over the pleats. Other that that, they do exactly what i need them to do.I was concerned as some of the reviews mentioned that the edges may snag delicate fabric, but decided to try them anyway. I cannot feel any rough edges on the sides and have used them on a knit fabric for a dress. No issues and much better than pinning! I am pretty sure these will be a staple in my alterations business.These work really well, no more pricking my fingers with pins!Minus one star for:*one of them having some black goop inside that I didn’t notice until after I used it on white fabric*another one that is misshapen and doesn’t hold*the engravings being so shallow you can barely see the measurementsThese metal clips are great for getting perfect hem width. Super easy to use, just line up your hem with the inches marks on the clips and irom or sew. They are definatly worth the money. And they are worth trying out.I would have given a 5 star review if the edges we're smoother so it would not catch on the delicate fibers of raw silks. I am still able to utilize them, but without the ease of being able to adjust length while the clip is in place.I used these to help keep the pleats down when I was making face masks. They really helped keep the pleats down while I sewed.
