The barrettes are actually very pretty and look even better when they are in your hair. I have curly hair and I can pull half back or all of it and it holds well. I have received many compliments. This doesn't really affect the product but the packaging was in a beautiful box with a litte note inside. If your looking for a gift this would be a very nice one to give. I haven't had them long enough to comment on the durrability but they look and feel like the will hold up well.Very sturdy and can handle thick hair without popping open.
